Get answers to common questions about Chin Waxing.
Results usually last three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth and hormones. Regular waxing can slow regrowth. Avoid exfoliating or harsh products immediately after; use soothing aloe and protect from sun. Price is $12 plus tax per session.
When performed by trained technicians with proper wax and technique, chin waxing rarely causes scarring. Sensitive skin may show temporary redness or bumps; follow aftercare, avoid sun and exfoliation for 24 to 48 hours, and inform us of skin conditions.
Clean, dry skin is ideal; avoid heavy creams, oils, or retinoids for 48 hours prior. If needed, trim longer hairs slightly without shaving. Arrive makeup-free and disclose medications or sensitivities to ensure safe, comfortable waxing.
Avoid sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, and vigorous exfoliation for 24 to 48 hours. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free soothing gel or aloe and skip makeup on the area initially. Light exfoliation after 48 hours helps prevent ingrown hairs.
Some clients feel brief stinging as follicles are removed, but discomfort is typically mild and short-lived. Our technicians use professional techniques, soothing wax formulas, and calming products. Breathing, relaxation, and short breaks help minimize any pain.
Certain acne medications like retinoids or isotretinoin increase skin sensitivity and may contraindicate waxing; always disclose medications. Pregnancy itself usually permits waxing, though hormones can increase sensitivity. We will review your history and may perform a patch test.
