Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Underarms Waxing.
After Underarm waxing most clients enjoy smooth underarms for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth. Regular appointments can weaken follicles and reduce regrowth over time. Factors like hormones, medications, and hair type affect duration and frequency.
Waxing causes brief discomfort as hair is removed from the root, but sessions are quick and tolerable for most. Our estheticians use soothing techniques, pre-warm wax, and post-care to calm skin. Avoid caffeine and exfoliate beforehand to minimize sensitivity.
For best results, allow hair to be about a quarter-inch long (two to three weeks growth). Exfoliate gently 48 hours before, avoid heavy deodorants and antiperspirants on the day, and come with clean, dry underarms for an efficient waxing session.
We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before applying deodorant or antiperspirant to allow pores to close and reduce irritation. Choose a gentle, fragrance-free product; if redness or sensitivity persists, wait longer and use soothing aloe or recommended post-care.
Most clients return every three to six weeks depending on their hair growth cycle and personal preference. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and sometimes lengthen intervals. Your esthetician will recommend a schedule tailored to your hair type and lifestyle.
To reduce irritation, avoid hot showers, saunas, intense workouts, swimming pools, and tight clothing for 24 to 48 hours. Skip fragranced products and harsh scrubs immediately after waxing. Use cool compresses and a gentle soothing gel if redness or tenderness appears.
